Esoteric Babble

Well, today started out fine. I woke up late (which is always good), and then did nothing. Josh is heading up for 4th of July so that should be a good time. The only shitty thing is I don’t have my 360 so we can’t jam out with our clams out. But we have WarioWare and perhaps we’ll rent Mario Party 8 or Brain Academy. Something for the drunk fun that will no doubt ensue.

I won a Transformers poster on the radio a few days ago. I was so excited because I thought Josh would want it. But then I went and picked up his pre-order for Transformers the game, and well, I got a free poster with that too. So if they’re different, Josh gets both. But if they’re the same, I may as well keep one. I can’t wait to see the movie this Monday. I hope it’s good and not shit. I heard mixed reviews (from bizarre to WOW), so we’ll see how it goes.

I guess that’s it. When he gets here (any second now), we’re going to go get chicken and get drunk. I don’t know if it’ll be a KFC Saturday since KFC is being remodeled, but it’ll be chicken nonetheless. I’ll archive a bit tonight if I have time. Or if I’m sober enough.

So, as you can see, I started archiving all my old posts from my old site. Wow. I was a horrible, horrible writer then. At least I limit my laughing “haha”s to 2 now. Amazing.

Well, I’ll keep archiving. Kathy just told me about a book by Tad Williams called Tailchaser’s Song. Sounds really good.

And I get off at noon today. Well, I just called 1-800-4MY-XBOX. They’re so…umm… well, nothing really. I called them and got “Max,” the bastard son of Max Headroom. By saying specific commands when he prompts me, I got to a “real” person somewhere in India. After deciphering her language, I learn that my 360 fell through the cracks. I have to call Monday to get an update on the whole ordeal.

A great start to a great day. Other than that, nothing else is going on. I have to call some people about money, something which I despise. Then Amanda and I will go eat somewhere, and hopefully get very, very drunk.

Well, one seminar to go (Photoshop II), then off to home. I may play Zelda, something I’ve been neglecting since I got more 360 games and, of course, WoW, or I will rip my HDDs out of my computer and play WoW. I can’t resist!

It’s not an addiction– It’s a lifestyle.

Well, I’ve added more to this “site.” I’ve added a gallery at http://www.esotericbabble.com/gallery. Right now, there is nothing. A dark void of possibilities. But hopefully I’ll understand what the hell I’m doing and fill it up with something. Anything really.

Other than that, I’m still getting used to posting on a “blog.” (God, I hate the term blog.) I do admit it has some vast advantages over my old method of doing it all through Frontpage Express. My my, such pioneering days. Speaking of my old site, I’m contemplating moving all my entries to “blog” form. That way they’re searchable, with dates, etc. The only downside (aside from moving 5 years of content) is I lose some of the naive charm that (I thought) permeated my old site.

However, since, like my old site, this journal (not blog) is all about me, it really doesn’t matter.

But we’ll see. Who knows,  I may grow bored with this and quit in a week. Though, I really do miss updating.

I’m thinking of starting my journal up again. But before I can do that, there are a few obstacles to overcome. Not that it really matters since no one will read it. But it’s never been for anyone else.
