Esoteric Babble

Those fucks are tasty! Not much going on today (I say that often). I’m waiting for AvP to finish loading from Google Videos so I can finish it. I have it at home, but never could force myself to get through 45 minutes of nothing to get to the ALIENS and PREDATOR parts. I almost cracked up when the Face Huggers jumped out of the egg in slow motion. I thought the human would pull some Matrix shit and dodge them in bullet time.

Aside from that, it’s an ok movie. I love Aliens. I love Predators. To see them fight is awesome. I also like how they’re incorporating the relationship of “training” or “old hunt” into the story. But wow, the humans are quick to pick up on this stuff. I stopped yesterday when the Aliens were trying to help the Queen escape. So, we’ll see how that goes. I guess with all this talk of the movie I should tag this as a movie thread. I really don’t understand categories too much. But o well.

It’s time for my Special K bar.

Or something. Today should be a fairly quiet day. No seminars or anything planned. Kathy’s out for the week so I’m in charge. I hope nothing happens at least. Amanda should be in her new job right now. I hope all is going well for her. Other than that, not much going on. Michael and I tried to get Aliens versus Predator 2 to work, but no luck. We couldn’t get Hamachi to put us on the same network.

I brought my DS so I’m going to work on beating Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. In the same vein, last night was relaxing. I played that while Amanda play Super Mario World. Aside from the stream of expletives aimed at the extremely skittish Yoshi, it was good time.

I guess that’s it for now. I need to archive more, but it’s such a drain. I still haven’t figured out how to do past (or future) polls.  I also need to figure out a way to put quotes on the page, as per request from Josh. I’ll get started directly.

I ate way too many tacos last night. Way too many. I was uncomfortable all night. Plus I was really thirsty so I had to keep drinking water. I woke up “early” when Amanda left for her final day at Firehouse, but then I went back to sleep. It was nice to sleep late. I tried to have lucid dreams, but didn’t have any. I did have a cool dream where aliens were taking over the world. Before they got to my house, I grabbed a remote control and walked out. I then used the remote control and faked it as a weapon. I stole one of their flying cars with it and took off. Really fun car to fly, by the way.

Not much is going on today. Tomorrow is Amanda’s first day at her new job. Should be exciting. I think I’m going to go play Super Mario World now. Adios, mother fuckas!

Well, things are doing better. Amanda went shopping and I’m organizing my music. I reformatted all three of my computers (because my main was fixed), but since my main died, I have to set up the other two to carry the load. I need to order an IDE to USB adapter from Newegg soon. After I get some tunes going, I’m going to hardcore add archives to the page. Perhaps I’ll eat lunch too. We have left over burgers from the 4th that is calling my name. Not to mention, Amanda is picking up some hamburger meat tonight for tacos. I fucking love tacos. The dirty and food types. I guess that’s it. I’m going to do something. I still plan to buy some Wii VC games. But I want to archive at the moment. I plan to read through the archives while I do them. So it’s a trip down memory lane.

And with all said, that’s why I do this page. I don’t really care if any one else reads it or not. This is my journal.

But this one doesn’t suck my cock. I had to make it rhyme someway. Anyway, today sucks. I guess I’m just in a depressed mood. For one thing, I got off with MS and they still don’t know shit what’s going on with their damn consoles. So, it looks like I won’t ever get my 360 back. That pisses me off. Other than that, just general bleagh.

I’m thinking about buying a virtual console game since I have jack shit to do other wise. I all ready have 400 points, so I’m going to buy another 1000 and get Super Mario World. Then with the 600 left, I’m going to buy a NES game or something. I’m not quite sure which yet.

Other than that, I may play some more of Twilight Princess. I just have no motivation to do anything today. But what’s new about that?

Well, I got off of work and went to Bonner’s Uniform in Opelika to sit around while Amanda tried on scrubs. After that, we went to Wal-Mart and had a cursory look at the scrubs there, but they didn’t have anything good. Then God broke the seal and we were tsunami’d all the way home. It looks like it’s breaking up. We’re seeing Ratatouillieouiiilie at 7:30. Then who knows. I’m hoping to bake some cookies tonight. And I’m not speaking figuratively. Those were some damn good cookies. At the theatre, I’m planning to actually buy some food. I have 20 bucks to blow on a small popcorn, so I figured why not.

I guess that’s it for now. I may upload some pictures later tonight. Or I may just sit around and do nothing. Both are good possibilities at the moment.

I’ve spent the majority of today adding in crappy plugins. Most of them are behind the scenes, but some are noticible. I went back to Cityview theme due to some sidebar issues. I may work on it more, but I think I’m done.

Tonight Amanda and I are going to look for scrubs for her work. Then we’re seeing Ratatouille. I hope it’s good and not crappy. I saw a 7 minute clip in HD the other night. The main reason I watched it was due to its being in HD. Damn! It looked good!

I guess that’s it for now. I’ll work on this over the weekend… possibly.

And who better to show it off than Lady Berry. I still have to fix the kinks out of the CSS for the pages themselves, but we're getting closer and closer to something. I don't know what the something is, but we're almost there.

Well, I checked online and no tracking number. I’m thinking of calling them up again, but honestly I don’t think it would have any effect. I’m hoping to get a game out of them or something. This is ridiculuous. My “free” month of Live will certainly be used up by the time I get my 360 back. If I get it back.

A lot of good games I want to play too. The Darkness, Overlord, demos. Hell, I even wanna play Transformers.

Other than that, nothing much going on. Got a seminar at 11:30 and then doodle by for the rest of the day. I’m still working on the layout of the site. I spent a good couple hours yesterday fucking around with CSS and PHP. Although I feel like a blind man with oven mitts trying to wipe his own ass, it’s going ok. I’ve managed to set the color scheme I want, but I recently discovered my right bar isn’t “widget friendly.” So I’m going to try to get that fixed. I really like PHP and CSS. The content doesn’t change, but you can change every other aspect.

So, I’ll get on that.

I kind of feel down today. I think it’s just a combination of a few things. Not wanting to be at work, school shit, Xbox shit (pisses me off so much), etc, etc.

I got off the phone with MS and still no information. Now most turnarounds for new returns are “4 to 6 weeks.” That’s way too long. I’m going to try to get a game out of this or something. Amanda starts her new job Monday so we’re going to go try on scrubs Friday (well, she will). We also got Season 5 of Scrubs yesterday. So it’s a very scrubby week. I can’t believe “scrubby” is a word in Firefox.

I guess that’s it for now. Josh left this morning so that sucks. We had a good time. Lots of drinking. I made a drink last night called “Tampon Vampire.” It was some Strawberry Daiquiri liquid mix, some Rum, some Pucker’s Strawberry, and some Peach Shnapps. Not sure how much of any specific amount was in the drink, but it was damn good.

For this site, I need to add more archives, figure out how to do my polls, and get all the posts for a day under one day heading.
