This diet thing’s not too bad. As long as you figure out what you’re eating before hand and plan ahead. For example, I found out I can have Pop Tarts again. Holy shit, I’m hard! I fucking love Pop Tarts and haven’t been able to eat them in forever. Every time I go through the grocery store with Amanda, I see them and act like a little kid begging mommy for a treat. I’m eating Strawberry Cheese Danish ones at the moment. Best part of my morning.
In other news, I signed up for Gamefly again. I did a month of 2-at-a-time for free. I may keep it and drop it to 1-at-a-time. It just depends on my money. Maddness sent me a link to download a gold plated Lancer. Why not?
Amanda and I are doing the 100 Pushups and 200 Sit-ups challenges. I only did a pathetic 5 pushups, but they were “good form” ones. My nose touched the ground and everything. Tonight we’ll do our measuring for sit-ups. We’re doing fairly well on Wii Fit nowadays too. I’m sure you can tell by my awesome picture that I totally nailed the COB last night. Bitches!

I’m a bit uncomfortable at work today. My back is giving me some pain just to annoy me. On the bright side, the day has flown by so far. I came into work today to find out that Blackboard’s Assessments had thrown a hissy fit over the weekend. So we had to smooth everyone out while our system administrator fixed the issue (though, it wasn’t even his issue but another department’s). That helped time fly by.
The weekend was a roller coaster ride. Saturday was a good time. Kaleb, a buddy at work, has been helping me the past couple weeks on Craig’s List doings. He helped us move a lawn mower, and yesterday he helped us move a portable dishwasher. Each trip only cost a meal, so it’s been good times.
Saturday we decided to meet at Insomnia Cafe, a newish place that had Mediterranean food and hookahs. He and his friend Michael met me there and we all tried the gyro. It was good! I’ll have to take Amanda one day, especially for the hookah. We got Sweet Melon our first go around and the guy brought it out while we were eating. It was fun just to smoke every few bites. They give you a plastic tip for “sanitary” reasons so you don’t have to worry about food and shit.
The actual move went easy and we got the portable dishwasher (I’ll try to get pics) up and running. I did a test run and it worked fine. We didn’t actually have anything to clean since Amanda did the dishes right before we brought it home. Which made no sense to me.
Yesterday was a very blah day and Amanda and I were at it for most of it. So I didn’t do too much. I do enjoy a weekend evening shower though. It’s very relaxing.

I’m fairly connected now. I can post to my journal, to Flickr, to Twitter, to Twitpic, and pretty much anything else from my phone. But, do I have the zeal to actually use these wonderfully intrusive technologies? We’ll find out.
Amanda and I are on Weight Watchers. And it’s been going fairly well so far. We started Tuesday, so I guess most things aside from anal drilling will go well for a couple days. I have 31 points to use throughout the day (though, I only used 25 yesterday) and 35 for the entire week. Day to day the process isn’t difficult. It’s when I want to go to Taco Bell on the weekend where I feel the belt tighten. The 35 extra “Flex” points will certainly come in handy though. I’ve begun posting what I eat and the point values on my journal. However, I’ve made all those entries private. I’m not sure if I want everyone to know the disgusting things I eat. Not yet anyway.
Aside from having to move a dishwasher this week, this weekend should be fairly low-key. I plan to play quite a bit of WoW. I’m only 74 which is pathetic. I plan to get to at least 76 by Sunday evening.
I never did watch Get Smart last night. Amanda and I started watching 30 Rock Season 2. So I guess I’ll watch that Friday evening. She didn’t seem to be as love struck on the movie as I am. I am a big Get Smart (TV) fan and I’m anxious to see what they do in the movie.

Looks like Bush is finally gone. Yay! I can take my anti-W sticker off the back of my car. I watched the inauguration of Obama through the miracle of stuttering Internet and he had a good speech. The “poet” afterward was God-awful though. Why on Earth did they pick her? She couldn’t even read her own poetry. The old guy giving the benediction was better than her.
Taco Bell’s offering 20-cent tacos today. That deal is too good to pass up. I’m on Weight Watchers now, but I may have to use some of my points on those bad boys. I used 4 points so far, so I got 27 to use.
This weekend will be a very green weekend. I don’t plan to do too much but to work around the house and play WoW. New patch came out that helps us Druids a bit, so it should be a blast.

Sometimes things change and you’re aware of them. Sometimes not. Sometimes you’re aware too late. It’s been a krabby day. It was cold this morning, surprisingly cold. The past few days I was used to wearing shorts. But now I’m cold in my leather jacket (for which I believe a gay black dude at the bank was hitting on me for). It’s time to bust out the trench coat.
Tomorrow should be a decent day, I hope. Work should be fairly light and I love Friday nights. Saturday I have to get up early, but early is relative when you usually get up at 6:15 every day. 7:30 seems like sleeping late, but it’s not. However, the trip’s over 5 hours, so I can put in some good face time with the pillow.
I guess that’s it for now. Amanda and I are… oh…. I found out my dad lost one of his counties. That sucks. He’s asking us to pay for our own meals on the trip, which is no fucking biggie. But my mom freaks out over that shit and wants them to pay for everything. Just an awkward position.
But anyway. Amanda and I are about to watch 30 Rock then she’s going to bed. Sadly, she’s sick. I think it’s a sinus infection, so hopefully I won’t get sick as well. One of us as to be the well one to take care of the other. Michael is sick as well. So I guess it’s all around us.

It begins anew, for at least a week or two. Good times. I watched a little more of Wanted last night. I really need to finish that and send it back. Yesterday, Kaleb helped me move the lawn mower to my house. I repayed him with all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet.
Today will flitter by in a haze, which is interesting since I have to attend a meeting in 50 minutes. I don’t have to speak, thankfully. Just listen and soak in the notes.
There isn’t much else going on. I really wish I brought my book to read. Oh! I’m going to add a new section for reviews. I think I’ll do that now.

Amanda and I went south on HWY 29 last night to look at a lawn mower we are buying through Craig’s List. What a strange visit. We found the place easy enough and parked. It was a non-descript house, but something seemed strange. A feeling. We walked up the broken steps and I knocked…. and nothing. The lights were on, so we figured it just takes a minute (I’m very slow on getting to the door… usually because I’m asleep and half-naked). So I knocked again. Nothing. One more time. We hear movement and a door opening and closing, but no one comes to the front door. I knock one more time, more loudly.
At this point, we hear the lawn mower crank up from behind the house. I walk to the side and can see the guy on the mower. I wave, but he doesn’t see me or just chooses not to respond. He starts driving towards the other side of the house and parks the mower underneath a street lamp. We walk up and he says the lamp’s better for light. Ok…
So he shows us the mower. Nothing was wrong, but just slightly off. He flooded the motor showing us the blade underneath, so it took a few pulls to get the mower started. He kept calling it “stupid” in a cute tone.
We bartered the price down from $375 to $275 so it’s a good deal. He’s hard up to get the cash before Thursday (for some reason) so we’re a bit pushed on time. We’re also looking towards a dishwasher as well. If we get the dishwasher, then we’re going to rent a uHaul to get all this shit. Hopefully tomorrow.

I need to update my Wordpress, apparently. I think I spend more time setting this thing up than actually posting on it. Ahh, that's technology.
Not too much going on today. Amanda and I are going to see a guy about a used lawn mower through Craig's List. So, if we go missing, he did it. It's a good deal. We're also looking at a portable dishwasher. If both goes through, we'll rent a uHaul for a day and get those fuckers home.
This coming weeking we're going with my parents to North Carolina. Wheeler's getting christend or something. I hope he doesn't pee everywhere. Actually, I do. Just have to make sure I stay away from the line of fire.

Currently I'm backing up Amanda's shit so I can upgrade to Windows 7. It's a beta, but that's fine. It's a beta until August. August is fucking far away. Fuck, when August comes, I'll be 27. I don't want to be 27. That's fucking close to 30. 30 is the age when you die, by the way. Twenties are when you are old enough to be a man, but still young enough to be a boy. When you're 30, you're just 30. Anyway. That's far away.
Today we went and dried close, as the previous post will disclose. I didn't actually do anything but listen to music and check Twitter. But I was there for support. I got Amanda on Twitter (PattyMcHottoots) but I don't think she sees the pleasure in Twitter yet. She'll learn.
We've been watching a lot of 30 Rock and it's good. I saw the first episode when it came on and wasn't impressed. But it gets better and better. Also, I think I was burned by the fact that my precious Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was getting cancelled. I fucking loved that show, especially Mathew Perry. Oh well, I still have Friends.
Anyway. Once shit is ready, I'll install Windows 7. I hope all works out. I still want to play WoW tonight.

Since the dryer is still broken (I have little hope fixing it), Amanda and I are at a coin-op laundry mat right now.
Worked on the house a bit today. I went under the crawlspace and tacked up most all the insulation. I didn’t get one corner since it was surrounded by spider webs. I saw 200 baby spiders swarming me and couldn’t do it. I was prepared though. I wore a hoodie, knee pads, goggles, and gloves.
Later tonight is WoW with Michael. Gotta hit 80!
I typed this post on my phone from the laundry mat and I had few keyboard problems. It wasn’t responsive for a while, but I guess it’s making a comeback.
